HOW TO WRITE A BOOK?
First, it is time to write your book.
You can use free google docs to start.
Choose your genre.
It could be scifi, fantasy, mystery, erotica, you choose!
Think about the story.
Is the story “juicy” enough to play with?
Will the story have the potential to make people feel anger, sadness, joy towards the protagonist?
Can you play around with the scenes enough to make the story exciting enough?
If not, choose another topic!
make at least a couple of disappointments before arriving at the happy ending.
Create an outline for your book.
Have a beginning, middle, and end.
Consider the exiting conflicts between the characters.
Think about the story of each character, who they are, what they want, what they like, what is their background etc.
How are the characters relevant to the story and to the protagonist.
Could you leave something out that is not relevant?
Make an inciting incident, which leads to rising action and climax, from there the growth of the protagonist and a resolution at the end.
The chapters, arrange happenings, or change the story for a better one!
REMEMBER
Everything you write must reveal something from the character or advance the action in the book!
Always think about your audience and write the reader first!
If something is boring for you to write, do not rush the scene, the scene probably needs to build tension and you need to think the reader and let your readers build up the story and the tension.
Now when you have written your book, it is time to check the spelling.
You can use Grammarly to start. It is free!
HOW TO PUBLISH THE BOOK?
KDP comes from kindle direct publishing.
Through kdp you and other authors can sell their books through Amazon.
You can also get an actual physical copy of your book! wow!

From there follow the process.
The next phase is to add the details of the book:
-Titles
-Description
-Contributors (other possible authors)

-Cover of the book (make one easily with Canva) IT´S FREE!

Really I was thinking about this for a long time and it can be quite hard.
But it does not have to be and to make it easy for you guys
here is the guideline I follow with my books:
PRICE SUGGESTIONS:
0,99$> short shorts: under 3k
2,99$> stories: 3-15k words
3,99$> stories: 15-35k words
4,99$> stories: 35-50k words
5,99$> Novels: 50-70k words
6,99$> Novels: 70-90k words
7,99$> Novels: 90-110k words
8,99$> Novels: 110-130k words
9,99$> Novels: 130-150k words
On the pricing page, you will be asked about enrolling KDP select.
It means that if you do enroll, you will give amazon exclusive rights to your book.
And you cannot publish your book anywhere else, like your website.
If for example, you were thinking about selling your book in your own website.
KDP select has benefits.
Like additional royalties, kindle countdown deals, you can set special deals, your book will be in the kindle unlimited program.
This might be a good deal for you or not, depends what is your goal.
Even if you choose not to select KDP select, you can enroll anytime!
Or cancel it after 90 days if you feel like it!
CHOOSING THE ROYALTY PLAN
35% royalty plan
or 70% royalty plan
I was first very confused about this but let´s make it simple!
35% royalty fee has a minimum price of 0,99$
70% royalty fee has 2,99$
You can compare the two here.
Royalty calculations
If you select the 35% royalty option, your royalty will be 35% of your list price without VAT for each unit sold.
If you select the 70% royalty option, your royalty will be 70% of your list price without VAT, fever delivery costs (average delivery costs are $0.06 per unit sold, and vary by file size), for each eligible book sold to customers in the 70% territories, and 35% of the list price for each unit sold to customers residing outside the 70% territories.
If we sell your digital book at a price below your list price without VAT in order to match the price with a third party selling any digital or physical edition of the book or to match Amazon’s price for a physical edition of the book, you will receive 70% of our sale price for each eligible book sold to customers in the 70% territories, fewer delivery costs, and less any applicable VAT. For additional details, see the Pricing Page and Terms and Conditions.
If you are still confused, let’s take a closer look.
Everyone wants the higher option, right?
Or maybe not.
To get 70%
you have to price your book between 2,99-9,99.
You pay for file delivery.
Even if you select the 70% option, not all the sales qualify with the 70% option in some territories. List of countries.
You need to own the copyright.
Your ebook must be a part of KDP select. What we talked about before.
You allow buyers to lend their copy of your book. (It is not actually bad to allow this.)
